Yatta! Fansubs: Candy Candy

I'm trying to find out what happened to Yatta!'s Candy Candy fansubs.
They started fansubbing from the Spanish Dub, and got up to episode 4. Me
and my wife were eagerly anticipating the next episode, but it never
appeared, and now even the 1-4 episode torrent on Animesuki is gone. I
also can't seem to find any Yatta! homepage. Does anyone know what
happened?

Heh, not really an encouraging comment. I personally don't know what
happened myself. I was glad to just get those four episodes when those
were up, but I guess it had been a bit hard for this one guy to sub it
all himself.

I'd probably have better luck fansubbing it myself. A friend of mine
had already sent me an AVI of the first episode in raw Japanese and it
was a blessing to see it after watching the Spanish dub.

I have the manga and the movie on my hdd. I became a fan after reading
the manga, but, I wasn't so impressed by the movie.

I was wondering where you got that RAW episode in Japanese. I've been
trying to search for these for like ever. I guess I'm kinda late in
joining, cuz I missed those first 4 episodes subbed by Yatta!...
unless, they have a channel on irc somehwere...?

Someone posted that the fansubber was having trouble getting anyone to

download the English dubs from Spanish. I grabbed the 4 ep. available, and
it seemed a little better than the original OVA (story, not animation
quality), more story line IMHO, but what the hey, I'm not the expert. ^_^

It's quite famous, but admittedly it doesn't generate the same
kind of hype as "The Latest Greatest Thing from JAPAN!!" Or whatever. I
don't know, it's just a nice Shojo series, and my wife used to watch it
when she was a kid. Does anyone know if there's a Yatta! webpage?
