Well, when it comes to voice actors anyway. I need to get the English
dubs of Samurai Champloo somewhere and watch 'em. The choice of Steven
Blum to play Mugen is so perfect ... Mugen seems like a timeshifted
version of Spike, complete down to the hair.

Also, Steven Blum plays a character in Wolf's Rain. Is Shinichiro
Watanabe selecting the same guy over and over to do the English dubs
for his series or this simply by chance?

I notice, with some dismay, that it doesn't occur to you that maybe the
studios that actually dub the series keep casting him because he's a good
actor...

I like to think of the characters of Cowboy Bebop as reincarnations of
the Samuari Champloo characters.

Mugen's soul was obviously reborn in the 21st century as Spike, but
what do you think of the others?

Is Fuu reborn as Faye, or Julia?

Jin as Jet, or Vicious?

Watanabe-san initially tried to avoid making Mugen like Spike, but you
can see how well that worked.
